It's been a month since I last posted and it was for various reasons which I'll let pass, but I'm hopefully back to blogging for the long haul! I do very much hope that you all are fine and enjoying the Easter weekend. I'm back with a very simple outfit today. This is what you'll catch me wearing on the nothing days, where all we do is walk our dachshund, which If I'm honest is quite a lot lately! I'm in love with these sliders as much as all you other blogger gals and I'm pretty sure you'll agree with me when I say they are indeed the staple piece of the summer.

I will most definitely not be MIA anymore and I hope to keep you updated with what I'm up too!

Happy Easter!

So on Saturday I celebrated my 25th birthday and I am totally in denial about getting old. Somebody pass me Bernard's Watch and we can stop time right now! Anyway it was a chance for me to wear my new shoes from my mama which indeed made me very happy. In a lovely shade of soft blue they were perfect with a simple LBD and my new white leather look biker from Forever 21 which I picked up a few weeks ago. A simple but effective outfit, do you agree?

p.s I reached 300 followers yesterday and I'd just like to say thank you to you lovely lot. When i'm feeling unmotivated that type of thing really does give me that push to carry on writing so THANK YOU SO MUCH!

Just a quick one today to show you that I have once again added ANOTHER item of powder blue clothing to my wardrobe. It is my favourite colour of the season and to be frank I just cannot get enough! The latest edition is this pu zip front skirt from Zara and at £25.99 it's the type of bargain that I really look forward to showing of. Paired with a simple black ensemble and a buttery leather tote in dove grey to continue the pastel hues.

Have a great weekend

After the camo trend swept the high street I wasn't much of a fan, but when Christopher Kane worked his magic on the catwalk, he worked his magic on me too! A simple t-shirt mixed up with a crisp white shirt and some oversized shorts and I was ready for a day of shopping. Finished off with a military jacket and some ankle boots and voila, this was the result. A rather simple outfit, but I like wearing a trend that I was once quite dubious about. Thoughts on this look are very much welcome....

Boy oh boy am I excited to share these images with you! At weekend I was finally able to go back home to Manchester to meet our new pup. His name is Colin and he is just 9 weeks old and I can in fact share that I am totally in love with him. I couldn't resist getting him in a few shots, I mean how amazing is he?! So cute...

Anyway I'll give it to you that this outfit I wore on Saturday doesn't quite work with dog walking, but as he is only young he was simply posing for the snaps, the dog walking posts will come later! These leather trousers were on my wish list last week and I sneakily got them while out and about at the weekend. Teamed with some Primark heels and this amazing top by the wonderful Karen Walker and I was dressed for a rather sunny Saturday afternoon. Did you spend the sunny day somewhere great? I hope so!

Wish List

Top- ASOS / Trousers- Zara / Jacket- Topshop / Shoes- River Island / Bag- Zara / Skirt- Topshop

I haven’t done a Wish List in a while and with payday approaching I thought I’d share with you the items I NEED to add to my wardrobe.

So ASOS have released this rather lovely high neck top in a beautiful pastel blue shade. Perfect for jeans or teamed with these fab pu trousers from Zara. The top is also available in black and white too. The jacket is sent from heaven aka Topshop. Soft buttery leather in a powder pink shade...how could one resist? The skirt from Topshop is also ab fab- textured and the perfect length for a shorty like me. Accessories I’m craving this month come in the form of these river island sandals. An update to their ‘barely there’ collection these come with a block heel- something I’m loving for both look and wearability this season. Finally we have this amazing structured satchel from Zara, very similar to so many designer ones, but without the hefty price tag, Winner!

All in all some reasonably fabulous pieces on the Wish List this month for me. I’m hoping I’ll have my hands on all of them sooner rather than later!

It's weekend and I couldn't be more thankful! After LFW last weekend I could barely keep my eyes open this week at work! Which reminds me I have some rather lovely news...I've been promoted to Assistant Buyer and I couldn't be happier! I expect much longer days, but I cannot wait for the challenge ahead.

Anyway I thought I'd share with you some shots my boyfriend Ben took of me while we was at the Hospital last week. The top floor of the carpark is a pretty cool setting and there's amazing views of the whole of Manchester. Add in  beautiful sunset and I think he took some pretty lovely images. Do you agree?

Orla Kiely A/W 14 Presentation

Well, what a fabulous weekend I've had...LFW arrived and so did a rather unexpected email from Orla Kiely. I was lucky enough to receive an Invite to their A/W14 Presentation (que the screams). I was SO excited. I've been a fan of Kiely for many years, the prints they develop in particular are so amazing, hence you can imagine my excitement.

Early Saturday I hurried from the Jasper Conran show to the Orla Kiely presentation in Holborn. The venue was Central St Martins, the king of all Fashion Universities. It was elegant, opulent and beautiful. It felt like I was entering a museum, where the treasures of the past were held, rather magical if you ask me.

It's raining cats and dogs began with the pitter-patter of raindrops and a cobbled street projected onto the floor, while a bench and lamp post created the backdrop. Cigarette trousers in pastel pink & full skirts in grass green hues were particularly feminine. Also popular were roll neck jumpers in tones of mustard & navy. Alongside this was tea dresses in a polka dot print & tailored suits with cats embossed onto them. Cats were key throughout as were the oversized glossy buttons & 60's styling . Outerwear was also major with an oversized wool double breast coat in powder blue complimenting boyfriend style fluffy jackets.

The girls read the paper, danced & chatted throughout the presentation. All in all it was very British affair and was a kind of tribute to the good ole' weather we have. Models wore Clarks X Orla Kiely Mary Jane's with iconic statement prints on the soles. To accompany was embossed cut out tote bags in patent and high shine leather, as well as fur collars and transparent dome shaped umbrellas.

To finish each model wore a printed raincoat while singing in the rain was softly sang in the background. Overall it was a rather magical & feminine presentation; from the 60's styling, to the bench, to the cute puppy that was carried by a model. Orla Kiely gave an impressive collection and in fact proved that you can indeed look fabulous in the rain.

I Pugging Love You.

So, it is a few days till supposedly the most romantic day of the year and the question is are you ready? No, me either... my attitude to Valentine’s is somewhat similar to Scrooge’s feelings about Christmas. Generally I think it’s far too over the top and rather cringe if I’m honest. I do in fact have someone I love very much, however I don't feel the need to go over the top with teddies and chocolates shaped like hearts to prove so.

This year, however with a new year’s resolution to be more positive I’ve decided to embrace the love and I will in fact be getting my other half a little present.  Baring in mind my usual (old) opinion of this day the presents I’ve been looking at are more on the quirky side. I’ve put together a small group of gift ideas of the type of things I’d give so let me know your thought's!

1. Diptyque Noisetier candle- in general all Diptyque products are fabulous, but the candles in particular blow me away. The scent is strong enough for the room to smell without being overpowering, although with a price tag of £40 for standard size they don’t come cheap. However, if you want a candle that is extra special Diptyque are well worth the investment.

2. Notonthehighstreet Phone Case- A cute rubber IPhone case with the words I pugging love you. Ok I don’t need to say anything else about this one.

3. Urban Outfitters You’re so Awesome book- This is amazing! On each page there is various sentences which you can fill out about someone and give them as a gift. How cute? Show someone why they’re so awesome to you!

4. Urban Outfitters Heart Frame- This would go perfectly in my room, in a vintage paint effect it’s the perfect frame for a picture of you and your loved one.

5. Notonthehighstreet Illustration- One of the reasons I love this website is because of the personalisation you can add to gifts and what cuter way than initials of you and your lover in a rather contemporary illustration? This would go perfect in my kitchen...

6. Notonthehighstreet I Love Your Face Mug-I’m an avid tea drinker and so is Benjamin. A rather perfect gift no? I thought so.

So there you have it, A few ideas that doesn’t involve roses, chocolate or teddy bears. I hope you like them...let me know what you’re planning on getting for someone this valentines, is it your thing or are you still dubious like me?

X Jessie

Scarf- John Rocha @ Debenhams

I love, love, love anything oversized, so when I saw this babely yellow scarf in the sample sale at work I couldn't resist. My scarf collection has grown enormously this season, which I blame solely on the fact that I’ve only bought one coat this winter. Justified? Anyway, I just love scarves at the minute and I feel like this one has totally jazzed up a simple black ensemble.

Worn this weekend while puppy shopping, yes that’s right we are getting a Dachshund! He is the most perfect thing I’ve ever seen...We get him in 2 weeks and I cannot wait! If you haven’t already seen him on Instagram you can take a look here. Anyway I’m digressing this is the outfit I wore, my faithful Leigh jeans from Topshop and an oversized black shirt from forever 21. Teamed with my new Henry Holland at Debenhams shoes and I was set for the day.

What do you think, are you partial to a scarf or two?

Fancy Footwork

WAHEY! It's weekend and what better way to spend my morning than browsing the internet for my favourite item of clothing. Shoes, shoes and more shoes. Today my interest has been focused on Zara. Their new collection is uh-mazing. I literally want nearly every single piece, which is obviously great news for my bank balance.

Beginning with boots...now I know it is technically going to get warmer so buying MORE boots shouldn't be on my mind, however how can one resist? These double buckle cut out beauties in high shine pu are right up my street and frankly for £59.00 who wouldn't want them? The wrapped buckle shoeboot on the other hand is a great transitional piece which can be worn with both tights & bare legs. Reason to buy?...I think so too.

Moving onto some amazing court sandals in powder blue and pastel pink..admittedly I wouldn't wear them everyday, but they're the perfect shoe to add a little jazz to a simple black ensemble. The white block heel court is one of my favourite shoes I've seen for ages...the heel is bang on trend and it's in optic white. enough said?

Then we have some rather lovely sandals in cobalt blue. These are an update on the ones Zara had last season, which I missed out on (sad face) and with the addition of a metal plate they are given a little edge. At a price of £29.99 and in black too, i'll definitely be adding these to my wardrobe this season.

The loafers are beautiful, so easy to wear, but with a comfortable and sensible heel height which is always great for a commute or for work. The other flats are in the form of a cleated sole sandal in metallic silver. This sandal is going to be huge this summer and the double sole adds height which is something I LOVE, being on the small side.

All in all I think you'll agree Zara has done a rather fabulous job on the shoe front this season. Is there anywhere else I should be looking or do you agree that Zara is looking mighty fine? I'd love to know!

I hope you're all having a great weekend so far. Today I've had to chance to wear this fabulous crackled pu skirt which I got from Boohoo recently. I teamed it with my new Zara Roll Neck (which is my favourite item at the moment). It's easy to throw on with anything and I think it works well here. Finished off with my boyfriend ben's plaid to create a casual 90's inspired look. What do you think?
